Search the library catalog for all materials owned by the Garland Public Library.

1. Interlibrary Loan

   Interlibrary Loan (ILL) allows a Garland resident library cardholder to borrow a book from another library outside Garland. With online ILL, resident cardholders may request books anytime, even when the library is closed. All you need is a computer, an Internet connection and an email address.

   Set your own email or text alerts for upcoming item due dates or items ready for pick up.

3. My Account

   Access your library account page to see what you have checked out and when it is due. You can also see your holds and renew items.

Wowbrary Newsletter

Wowbrary is an e-newsletter that showcases the Garland Library’s newest books, DVDs, audiobook CDs and online magazines in a very user-friendly weekly email. Each title includes cover images, descriptions, previews, user reviews, ratings, and sales ranks gathered from publishers, libraries, Baker & Taylor, Amazon, and Goodreads. The newlsetter is emailed to subscribers every Wednesday morning. We also post weekly summaries of our new titles on Facebook and Twitter to inform our friends and fans.

Online Tutoring & Skills Building

Tutoring and skills building for all ages including a writing lab, flash cards, test prep, resume help, interview coaching, GED help, citizenship help, and Microsoft Office help. Live help is available from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. 7 days a week.

   Garland Library cardholders can borrow and watch free shows, movies, and more. Videos are streaming only and can't be downloaded, so you'll need an internet connection to watch them. Depending on what device you're using, videos will play either in the OverDrive app (on Android, iOS, and Fire devices) or right in your web browser.
